Ali, founder of DaExperience and tour guide Vancouver

Ali

Hi, I’m Ali, founder of DaExperience and one of your guides. I believe the best way to discover a city is through its flavours, stories, hidden gems, and its people. I created DaExperience to feel less like a scripted tour and more like exploring with a local friend who knows where the good bites and great stories are. When I’m not guiding tours or hunting for the next great food spot, I’m usually acting, playing tennis, camping, or spending time outdoors with my little family. But hey, enough about me now it’s your turn. Book your tour, come hungry, and let’s hear your story.
Arsham, DaExperience tour guide Vancouver

Arsham

Hi! I'm Arsham, I'm a born and raised Vancouverite and I absolutely love this city, being lucky enough to grow up in this town and stuff my face full of all the amazing food is why I became a guide. I love sharing this city and it's gems with everyone who visits! When I'm not guiding I work as an actor, so you might catch me on stage or on your TV screens!
Myra, DaExperience tour guide Vancouver

Myra

Born in Ukraine and now based in Vancouver, I’ve discovered that wandering around, eating snacks, and talking to strangers is a surprisingly legitimate profession. When I’m not guiding food tours, you’ll probably find me hiking coastal trails, training martial arts, working on film sets, chasing hidden cafés, or plotting my next adventure. What I love most about giving tours is watching people fall in love with Vancouver through its flavours and little local secrets. This city has an incredible mix of ocean, mountains, cultures, and creativity and sharing that energy plus some really good bites makes my heart twerk.
Stephanie, DaExperience tour guide Vancouver

Stephanie

Born and raised in Vancouver, I realized early that the world was far too exciting not to explore. Travelling became my career for the last 20 years chasing great meals, new cultures, bold flavours, and the kinds of places you remember long after the flight home. A spicy tantan ramen inside the JR Tokyo station comes immediately to mind. After years abroad, I’ve found my way back to Vancouver with an even deeper appreciation for the beauty of my city. These days, I’m happiest rediscovering her, one dish at a time. My current hyper-fixation: sesame fries with miso gravy from The Naam.
Andrea, DaExperience tour guide Vancouver

Andrea

Born and raised in Costa Rica, but with a nomadic soul that eventually brought me to Vancouver. I love acting and traveling, and guiding feels like the perfect combination of both which is why I enjoy it so much. Plus, it gives me the chance to meet new people and share interesting and sometimes random facts about this amazing city. I’m also a yoga teacher, and back home I owned a tourism company where I led bike tours and guided yoga practices next to waterfalls. When I’m not guiding, you’ll usually find me auditioning, writing, acting, coaching, eating popcorn, or exploring the outdoors in beautiful British Columbia. Looking forward to showing you Vancouver! Cheers and Blessings!
Nicole, DaExperience tour guide Vancouver

Nicole

Being a food tour guide combines two of my favourite things: the city of Vancouver and food! I’m always excited to show new people the city I was born and raised in, and why it’s so great! Being a guide feels less like a job to me and more like meeting new friends from all over the world. I love hearing stories from people in all walks of life! Outside of being a guide, I call myself a true Vancouverite: you can catch me hiking, snowboarding, doing yoga, or enjoying the diverse music scene of the city. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
Ana, DaExperience tour guide Vancouver

Ana

I have always enjoyed exploring the city, especially finding new and cute coffee shops. I love moving around on my bike and snowboarding during winter. I enjoy being a guide because I love sharing my love for this city.
Naz Vardar, DaExperience tour guide Vancouver

Naz

I was born and raised in Turkey and now call Vancouver home. I’ve always been drawn to the stories places and people carry, and I’ve found the best way into them is simple: sharing a meal, walking the city, and talking to locals. I love telling stories as much as finding them, and guiding gives me a chance to share that with people. I also just enjoy meeting and connecting with new people in a small moment in their trip. Vancouver is one of those places where you can understand so much through food, and I love helping people experience that. Outside of guiding, you’ll usually find me reading or writing in a library or coffee shop, teaching, or disappearing into history rabbit holes (Ottoman and Greek history especially). I’m slightly obsessed with carnivals and slowly learning modern Greek (slowly being the key word). When I want to switch off, I’m biking the Seawall, swimming, or getting out into nature.
Landon, DaExperience tour guide Vancouver

Landon

After travelling to many different cities around the world, I’ve realized that I still love my hometown, Vancouver, the most. That’s exactly why I love showing it off to fellow travellers. When I’m not being bubbly and nerdy on a tour, I’m producing, directing, and performing in musical and theatrical shows around the city. And where there is good entertainment, there must be good food, so naturally, I find myself right in the middle of it all.
Maria, DaExperience tour guide Montreal

Maria

Hi! My name is Maria and I was born and raised in Montreal, but you’ll always catch me talking about my Lebanese origins. Lebanese people can’t help themselves when it comes to that. I am a corporate girly by day, but outside of work I love self care and playing with my pets. I bet you can’t guess what they are! I became a guide because I love food. Getting to share this passion with others brings me joy. I also really enjoy talking to new people and getting to know more about them and where they come from. I look forward to meeting you and hopefully this experience will make your stay in our city of Montreal a little bit more special, memorable, and fun!
Raffi, DaExperience tour guide Montreal

Raffi

I enjoy giving tours because I know Montreal well, since I have been living here for almost 30 years. I love high-end restaurants, hidden gems, speakeasies, and everything connected to food and city life. I like the vibe in Montreal, whether it is winter with beautiful snowy views and skiing, or summertime when tourists come to discover the city. I enjoy sharing what I know with visitors so they feel comfortable, discover things they may not have in their own cities, and enjoy the most of their journey. In my spare time, I go to libraries, review the press, and keep up with what is happening in different fields. I also love being a tourist in my own city to see what’s new. Beside this, I am a nutritionist and I take care of my clients as a whole package: menu, workout, and well-being. Being a tour guide adds a new flavour to my knowledge.
Rita, DaExperience tour guide Montreal

Rita

My name is Rita Eid. I am an actress, esthetician, tattoo technician, and event organiser. I love dealing with people and I enjoy referring my friends and clients to the best restaurants, touristic places, and activities. It is in my blood. What I love about Montreal is the multi-ethnicity, different cultures, activity choices, and the beauty of the city.

Amazing tour experience We took the Gastown food tour with Naz and had a really fantastic experience! We learned more about Vancouver, ate some fantastic sushi, doughnuts, scotch eggs, porchetta sandwiches and pirogues (with a great cherry vodka cocktail), had a wonderful time chatting with the rest of our group and heard some interesting stories about Gastown. I love a food tour and a guide and this was one of the best! Thanks Naz!!
